Mumford&Sons have reached a new level in their writing. This song 'The Enemy' was written and produced for the new 'Wuthering Heights' film; not only does it seem to capture the raw and wild quality of the moors it also expresses the dark pain within the novel. There's no need to get complicated and Mumford&Sons have captured a purity that sometimes is lost in all the hype of modern music. Light up and enjoy...

Wild Like Mercury
The Wild Mercury Sound played an intimate and frankly too short set in Leeds this week that left you wanting more. Their music can consist of delicate vocals paralleled by wonderfully intense guitar solos. This English Indie band are a new talent to watch out for. These guys will be touring around the UK in places such as Oxford tomorrow and Guildford on Saturday. All I have to say is give me more...
This is the song 'Cocoon' played live during their time in Paris.

Extinct Loving
This Electronic duo played an incredible and quirky set in Leeds recently. Their music is a fluctuation of beautiful lyrics and sometimes quite raw beats. Somehow this song "Household Goods" has the potential to throw you onto the dance floor, surrounding you with neon lights and a haze that potentially isn't just smoke...This magic pair will be playing in London in the next few months. Tickets; yes please.

Reign Of Mohawke
Walking along the cold winter streets cigarette in hand, a good tune is vital. Hudson Mohawke describes his style as 'turntablism' and considering his vast range of styles and tracks, its the only word that can describe him. This Glaswegian has a creativity that knows no limits; and is definitely worth watching out for.
He Dead. Amen.
Kendrick Lamar, singer-songwriter and probably one of my all time favourite rappers. This song 'Rigarmortis' is a genius amalgamation of jazzy beats combined with fast and wild lyrics. After a heavy night out, and the Sunday blaze makes your mind feel light, this is the song to help you keep reality afloat. So tilt your head back, pick up the lighter and inhale...

Parachute Over & Out
Trials. Heartache. Leave it behind, the weekend is here, the night is drawing near. Street lights, concrete and smoke will fill our eyes and music our minds. 'Parachute Youth' embody euphoric Dance music. Let them entice you into forgetting everything, forget the week. Think of these nights with your friends, tilt you head back and smile...

The Word Is Jaar
Nicolas Jaar played a mind lifting set in Leeds Mint Warehouse this weekend. After having not played in the UK recently there was no better night than this. Jaar knows the very soul of of Minimal House music. Not only did he get the crowd swaying heads back and eyes closed but he filled the room with his wonderfully intoxicating sound. Jaar is the closest to the blissfully hypnotic. This is his newest track 'And I Say', listen and learn.

Sharp Like An Arrow
White Arrows are an L.A band with an Indie Pop vibe. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face, their playful song 'Get Gone' is a mixture of Electro and Indie beats. This song is like that blissful first cigarette of the day, and gives you such a happy and relaxing high. Just play this track in the morning and let their sound carry you...
Can't Leave...
Zulu Winter. Can't get enough of them. They are are unknown yet have a sound that just must be heard. I have already posted their song 'Lets Move Back To Front', but their song 'Never Leave' reaches out to the listener. Their Indie sultry tones and the underlying base chords just all create this epic sound. Don't think ill be leaving this band any time soon.

Sometimes There Are No Words
When its cold outside and the sun is shining down I simply want a song to make me forget everything and slide into that parallel reality of pure bliss. Raphael Saadiq has always been a personal favourite. His sound is a wide range from Jazz to Soul and old school R&B. This song 'Sometimes' from his 2008 album 'The Way I See It' has the ability to take me out of my everyday life and lifts me up. So put your headphones and take a walk in the winter sun...
In With The New
Lana Del Rey, an american singer-songwriter is definitely one of the best talents 2012 will see this year. Her song 'Born to Die' is beautiful in terms of lyrics and sound. Yet this remix by Hackman still manages to capture Del Rey's magic. Its sounds just warps reality, let your mind go...

Beasts And Beats
The 'Wild Beasts' are an awesome and quirky English Indie Rock band. Their lyrics are hauntingly beautiful; combine that with Hayden Thorpe's raw and souring vocals you are simply left with bliss. This song 'Reach A Bit Further' off the album 'Smother' is a personal favourite. I just cant help but be drawn into this song through the lyrics. No more. Just listen...

Zulu Dancing
After the new year celebrations are over and that night of eternal fireworks inside your head recedes, I found myself listening to this song on repeat. Zulu Winter has an understated Indie Rock edge that just keeps evolving throughout his music. His voice echoes in your mind with his lyrics wrapping themselves around you like that hot blaze you receive when walking into the tube station on a cold day. All I can say is turn the music up and watch out 2012.
